Ron Meyer

With over 50 years of experience as an underground/site contractor and a third-generation contractor, Ron has over the years taken the time to go through each individual project from start to finish. Thru many relationships and clients the business has been built. Ron has since passed along the torch of the operations over to Curtis Meyer taking into consideration that retirement from a back drop position within the company is best now to be enjoyed.
Over the years he has strived to lead, show and bring value and integrity throughout. Leading to perform project goals forward from the beginning of the project. He is always around to give the team a helping outlook and direction of guidance as needed.
Curtis Meyer
Vice President
Curtis Meyer has been an entrepreneur and site contractor since 2005. He is a fourth-generation contractor at Ron Meyer & Associates Excavating, Inc. Curtis is highly regarded for his ability to manage projects, providing support beginning with the pre-construction phase through to completion. His experience and knowledge within commercial, industrial, and underground infrastructure construction projects, ensures client expectations are exceeded. Curtis strives to consistently improve core values alongside company goals to steadily secure growth within the company including making sure projects come with the dedication, meeting aligning owner’s goals to complete any project intuition of an owner from a napkin descriptions to a plan to complete and execute on budget and on time working to resolve any cost hurdles. He continues to strive forward with integrity and honesty keeping the projects goals as well as company goals and values on track and on time.
Jim Belanger
Supervisor/Estimator
Jim obtained a Bachelor of Science in construction management from Ferris State University He has been honored to earn the Marquies -Who is Who award in 2023. He brings 36+ years’ experience in all facets of a complete earthwork project. Jim is responsible for project estimates as well as budgets and follows awarded projects throughout its entirety. He follows any upcoming opportunities with more than one course of oversight within his career, bringing first-hand knowledge and expertise within our team.
Bill Engelsman
Supervisor/Estimator
Bill has devoted his career to Ron Meyer & Associates Excavating, Inc. since 1985. He is experienced with underground utility construction and earthwork, including site balancing, and ground preparation for infrastructure for our various scales and range of projects. Bill services the company today not only providing project estimates. He takes the time to reach out to multiple municipalities to ensure our projects meet the requirements, courses and installation practices differently within individual cities, townships and states. Seeing the site through to completion. He is versatile and willing to meet any demands a client may require.
Mike Volkers
GPS/Project Management
Mike has been a loyal team member to Ron Meyer & Associates Excavating, Inc. since 2004. His career began as a laborer and operator leading him on to a foreman position. In 2014, Mike was promoted to our GPS coordinator. With his onsite knowledge of each jobsite, Mike’s position compliments the needs of our estimators and foremen. He works diligently to establish site takeoff quantities alongside our estimators providing additional setup and support to our dirt and utility crews with 3D Modeling and site asbuilts and fulfilling the needs of calibrations for our accuracy needs.
Our updated fleet of GPS enabled equipment compliments site owners with the efficiency as well as our clients continuous perspective allowing them to view their site within a 3D view helping to forward understand the end result of the project before it starts from the ground up.
Justin Fuller
Shop Manager
Justin brings over 23 years’ experience in the construction industry. Starting his career off with the first eleven years performing labor, heavy equipment operation, and trucking. Justin oversees our daily operations of all fleet vehicles and equipment, taking pride in his abilities to navigate our fleet and the daily occurrences to keep them running efficiently and effectively. His roles include dispatching our fleet of heavy-duty dirt trucks, mechanical needs of repair, and time management from within. Justin has obtained the following certifications: Michigan Class A with doubles endorsement, UST Operators Underground storage tank training, as well as his equipment operating license.
Samantha Meyer
Office Manager
Samantha works hard to ensure the office runs smoothly, performing duties such as coordinating meetings, sending emails, handling all payables and oversees various aspects of the office operations. She handles employment process, including recruitment, employee benefits, onboarding, and training. Samantha manages all aspects of payroll, maintains fleet GPS, MissDigs, Demo permits, Inventory and equipment locations and maintenance. Samantha is U.S DOT Reasonable Suspicion training Certified, she has her Certificate of completion is OSHA 30 Hour Outreach Training Program as well as her certificate in D.O.T Compliance & C.S.A Workshop.
